SPB Software

SPB Software develops software for smartphones and tablets from its offices in Russia, Taiwan and Thailand. SPB was founded in 1999 and was originally focused on making applications and software for Android and Windows mobile devices but ultimately became cross-platform and built products including a mobile wallet, data traffic analytics, games, web TV integration, a mobile UI builder, etc.In November 2011, SPB Software was acquired by Russian search company, Yandex. SPB Software's valuation / acquisition price in the transaction was reported to be $38 million. According to Yandex, they were interested in SPB Software's new mobile UI engine for both smartphones and tablets.
